What it means to live at WuWei
Life at WuWei is designed around beauty, simplicity, and meaningful connection. Morning yoga in the shala. Community meals from the farm. Art and music in the Maker’s Space. Evenings in the sauna or by the fire. Days that move to the rhythm of the land, the seasons, and the people around you.
At the same time, WuWei is not a utopian fantasy. It is a real, working community — with governance, responsibilities, and the joys and challenges of shared life. We are building something that lasts, and that requires committed, values-aligned people.

Staying somewhere else vs. Living at WuWei
In the U.S. and Europe, the cost of building and owning a home has become out of reach for many families. Guatemala offers a different path. Here, we build for half of the cost, using natural materials and thoughtful design that reflects the land and the lives of the people who inhabit it.
Life in Guatemala is more affordable across the board — fresh food, healthcare, and everyday essentials. That means more freedom, more presence, and fewer financial pressures. Your resources support a life rooted in beauty, community, and sustainability.
And because WuWei is share-based rather than lot-based, instead of being isolated on 1,200 square metres of your own property, you share 3 hectares of land, three waterfalls, a food forest, communal spaces, and a professional land stewardship team — for the same investment, or less.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum to get started?
Financial investors can begin with $25,000 USD. Resident-aligned investors begin at $80,000 USD for studio access (limited availability). Investments can also be built incrementally over time.
Do I need to live there full time?
No. Shareholders enjoy preferential access for visits and stays whether or not they are full-time residents. Many investors participate seasonally or as retreat guests while building their equity over time. Some investors support this regenerative community from afar, never visiting the land, but powering the vision unfolding.
Can I buy individual land?
No. WuWei operates on a share-based model — investors co-own the entire project through shares in the Sociedad Anónima, not individual parcels. This ensures the land remains unified and collectively stewarded.
