Casa Orquídea

WuWei Village is a regenerative eco-village on the shores of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. We are a living, breathing community dedicated to the practices and values that make a good life possible — tending the land, deepening connection, exploring the spirit, and cultivating creativity.
Four pillars guide everything we build here:

We are responsible land stewards working to regenerate the Earth. Tending the land inspires harmony, connection, and abundance.

Through collective collaboration.... wellness, celebration, and culture can blossom. We are committed to nurturing the whole, while honoring personal sovereignty.

Through shared practice, proper guidance, and interfaith acceptance we foster a home where residents and guests answer the call for spiritual growth and investigation.

We hold a welcoming and inspiring container for artists to deepen their craft and expressions, learn from each other, and cultivate a culture of creativity.

WuWei Village is set on 3 hectares of lush, forested land in Tzununá — known in the Kaqchikel language as the Valley of Hummingbirds. Nourished year-round by a flowing river, enriched by volcanic soil and old-growth trees, and held by the contours of the valley, the land feels both naturally protected and open to the vast expanse of the lake and volcanoes beyond.
Three homes are complete. The food forest is in production. Three pristine waterfalls lie within a 45-minute hike. This is not a vision on paper — it is a living place, growing more alive each season.

WuWei Village was founded by a small group of people who believe deeply in a different way of living — and were willing to do the hard work to make it real. Starting in 2021 with raw land and a shared vision, we have spent five years building the foundations: securing the land, installing infrastructure, initiating agroforestry, and completing the village's first three homes. We are not developers building for a market. We live here. We tend the land ourselves. We are building a community we intend to grow old in — and we are inviting aligned people to grow it with us.
